What planet do MItt Romney' s 47%?

After today only millionaires and bigots will support Romney.

Dear Mr Romney. 'Those people,' who you don't care about, in the dreaded 47% who pay no Federal Income Tax, includes Senior Citizens, students, hard working parents and military service members.

And guess what, Mr. Romney? You put your foot in your mouth again, and this time the senior citizens, students, hard working parents, and military service members are not going to let you lie your way out of it.

They live right here in the good old US of A. And that is not the number who do not pay taxes by the way. That is the number of people who receive some form of benefits from government. The tax figure is that 40% (IRS figures) of the population does not pay income taxes. Some do pay payroll taxes, but by taking their deductions, never actually pay taxes on their income and usually get it all back plus more for the various deductions.

This means that 60 percent of the American people not only pay their share, but the share of those 40% as well for roads, bridges, government spending etc. That is why the middle class is shrinking. We are creating a society of poor people because both the upper and middle classes are paying for the rest. And by continuing to enlarge and increase programs that pay the poor more, we encourage people to remain in that situation.

I don't know if you know anything about animals (not that I am comparing welfare recipients to animals)...but are you aware that even if you feed an animal a small amount, they will stop hunting? You discourage them from trying because someone else is giving them what they need and it is simply easier to accept less than to do something to get more. People are no different. Why work when you can live without working? Why try harder in school if you know you don't have to get a job but can continue on welfare?

The rich already pay their fair share in most cases. I know you hear otherwise from the Obama administration...but what they tell you is not the whole truth...only a partial truth. For example, Warren Buffet claimed that he pays a lower percentage of income tax than does his secretary...and that is likely true. However, he never mentions that he pays high taxes on his holdings and investments and then pays income tax on what is left over. Do you really think if he feels so bad about this that he would take those deductions? Not likely. He is getting something (I don't claim to know what) from Obama to put his two cents worth into the fray.Keep an eye on that dude.

Bill Clinton had the right idea about forcing welfare recipients to work to better themselves. He realized the truth about how welfare actually creates more poor people. Obama is encouraging people to take advantage of the government programs...and that is not healthy for them or for the economy...regardless of who is footing the bill.

Are you aware also that more than 70% of every dollar that goes into the treasury comes from the same people that Obama wants you to yell at for being rich? How much should they be paying? Even if they paid 100% of their total income into the treasury, it would not make a dent in the interest on the debt let alone make any major difference otherwise. It is better to let them use that money to create more jobs in the private sector so MORE people will be paying in. The idea is not to redistribute the wealth...but to create more wealth by creating jobs. Right now, most business people..both large and small don't invest because they don't know what Obama is going to do next. His Obamacare package and all the new regulations may well cost them a lot of money.

I am not saying that businesses should not have regulations that they need to follow. We need some of that to protect people...but if you know any business people, ask them about all the redundant and stupid things they have to do and the hoops they have to jump through just to keep their doors open. Adding another fifteen thousand new regulations has not helped protect people...it has only made it more difficult to operate a business...which means it costs more...thus no hiring going on. Obama has what I call a kindergarten mentality. He makes rules when there has not been a problem simply to make sure that the problem can not exist eventually. That is dumb and it is self defeating.

Sorry to make this so long...but I really get tired of people who come on here or elsewhere who know little or nothing about what actually is occurring in the government yet spout off with some wisecrack or two instead.. I am not a Republican...but a student of politics and government...and this has already shown that it doesn't work in other places.

If you really care about what is going on....then study it...and get the real answers. Don't rely on either political candidate to tell you the truth...but search out the facts for yourself.

Its called planet earth.
