Catcher in the Rye and Schroedinger's cat?

I often think too far into things but i wonder if tjis makes sense?

When i realized WHY holden never called jane, because he wanrs to keep her forever a child,it reminded me of Schroedinger's cat. If holden never calls Jane, she is both or neither forever an innocent child and a corrupted adult. Does thissomehow make sense?

    Sort of.

If he never calls her though, she will always be the child he wants her to be.

    There is no "adult" alternative.

However, I think you have the bases for a good argument.

If this is for a school paper, go for it.

Just hope your teacher is hip to Schroedinger's cat.

So many of them are not in the English department.

    (I could tell you tales).

    Good luck.
