How can I block internet access?

My roommate has stopped paying his share of the cable/internet bill and I now want to cut him off until he pays his share of the bill. I have sole access to the router settings, and although I have changed the WiFi password, I'm sure that he is connecting to the router using an Ethernet cable while I'm at work.

How can I block his laptop/desktop from having access to the internet if I don't know his MAC address?

I have a laptop (WiFi) and a Sony Media Player (LAN) connected to the network, so whatever I do has to be able to allow those two devices to connect.

My router is a cable modem and wireless router in one, this is a link to the info on my router : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Zoom+-+5350+Wireless+R...

Thanks, it would be great to have a step by step answer, as I don't really know much about networking.

Take the router to work with you.

Try the parental controls page, here's the user guide for your router, http://www.zoomtel.com/documentation/cable/5350_Us...

You can also disable DHCP on your LAN/wireless network, change the IP on the routers LAN interface and manually setup IPs on all your stuff, but that's a bit of work unless you're familiar with assign IPs and such.

    Good luck.

Change the password on your router.

Get his ip address and deny it access. Or if you want to be truly evil, open his computer and take out its wifi chip
