If you are using a 12-hour clock...?

... is there any possible logic to describing midday as 12pm? I mean the sequence seems to go something like ....10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm Would it not be better to adopt the 24 hour clock, which eliminates ambiguity?

24 hour is certainly better but if everyone agrees 12 pm for midday is fine. After all am means ante midday ie before midday. Of course pm means post midday!

If you are going to change the way we keep time, why stay with seconds, minutes, and hours? How about dividing the day metrically?
