Do you have any tips for grooming dogs that make it very difficult? Especially blow drying?
I do work experience grooming dogs, I wait for them to be trimmed then I wash them in a hydrobath and blow dry them. I'm getting some pretty bad scratches and my muscles ache from holding them still all day (10 - 20 dogs every day at least) and the hardest part of all is blow drying them, they ALL absolutely hate this and make it extremely difficult, I spent half an hour yesterday trying to dry a kings charles cavalier that kept spinning in circles, hiding it's face and trying to commit suicide by diving head first off the table :L Luckily I managed to stop him but is there any tips you can give me to make them dry faster? I'll take ANY advice you offer.
I dry them on a counter in a room near the bath... It's pretty much just a counter like in a kitchen and I have to get them dry as quickly as possible because I have so many dogs to do and my boss is really pushy.

I sometimes have this problem when I blow dry some of the dogs at the kennel I work at. what I do is blow dry the dogs in the hydro bath because then the can't fall off or get away from me I also get a rope lead to hold the dogs still. If you need to put them on a table put a towel on the table so that it is not slippery and hold them with my hand around their chest and their bottom facing me so they cannot wiggle out of my grasp, also for the difficult dogs I would put a rope lead on them then attach it to something and hold it with my other hand. Try to stay away from their face and begin with there backs, keep the dryer close to their fur as it will dry them quicker and don't fuss over them too much as the faster you get it done the better for the dog. If you have a dryer with a low and high setting start on low to get the dog use to it then increase to high. Remember to cover their ears when you dry them and close their eyes as the dryer would be very uncomfortable for them if you don't. If you need help make sure you ask your boss as I'm sure they will be happy to give you tips or help with the difficult dogs to prevent accidents from happening

Don't you have a grooming table with a noose at both ends? When a dog is fighting the grooming process that's when accidents happen, so it's important that you get the dog to stand still. This can be done with a noose around the front and also the rear.

I have a groomers arm on my grooming table to secure my Cavaliers but they don't need it now they're adults. They stand perfectly still to be blow dried and seem to quite enjoy it.
It's not safe grooming a dog on a counter bench when you have nothing to secure them to or with. You need to speak with your boss about the difficulty you're having there and see if she is willing to set up a safer system for the dogs.

What I do is first, I comb them out to get loose hair out and mats. Bathe them. Trim some of the hair. Put them in a carrier with a floor heater, set at low, outside of the carrier, making sure it doesn't get too hot on the dog. Then, put the heater on the other side of the carrier, watching how hot it gets on the dog, again. Then, the final brushing, combing and final trim.

My do loves to be blow dried he curls up in a ball and this lay there. He used to be horrible, we started giving him treats and praising him when he would sit or be nice. They don't like air on their face, so try not to put the blow drier new their face. Also make sure you don't have the blow dryer to warm. Do you put a leash or a grooming table? I have a Pomeranian it takes me like a hour to blow dry him. I'm assuming that you have a business.
