Help With Outdoor Excercise Classes?
Hey guys. Basically I am running a sort of fitness session for a group of people each week and I need some ideas. The level of fitness within the group varies quite substantially, so I can't make the sessions too hard. The other issue is that I don't want it to seem like hard work, like I don't just want to turn up and get people running up and down the park or doing loads of sit-ups and stuff.
So I wondered if anyone out there had some good outdoor activities I could do, that will get the blood pumping, but not be too hard so that the less fit people feel alienated and stop coming.
I need stuff that doesn't really need equipment either, I could get some cones and them little ladder things, but nothing much more than that really.
So in summary, anyone know any fun outdoor exercises that can be enjoyed by everyone?
Thanks!!!
hey Scott, thanks a lot for your input! I will include some of these ideas for sure.
I want to try and get some competition based activities in too as I think it helps to encourage people to really get involved. Anybody got any ideas on that front?

I'm in the navy and sailors vary from very fit to very fat poeple similar to the type of group that you have
our command PT is composed of about 1hr to 1 hr 15 min cardio/ calistenics.
we start of with 10 min warm up with jump-in-jacks, run in place, stretch.
we usually do stations after that like divide in to 4 groups and spit the 4 into the corners of a football field or a tract.
each group will do a different exercise for about 3-5 mins, then the 4 groups will run around a whole lap. Once your done with the a lap you do a different kind of exercise. here are some that we use: push-ups, side-crunches, full sit-ups, lunges, blurpees or 8 count body builder, squats, diamond/wide push-ups, planks, POW'S( this is raising your hands 10x while on your knees then doing 10 pushups right after and back to raising your hand 9x and 9x until to get to 1 raise and 1 pushup) POW stands for Prisoner of War, the name came from being on your knees and raising your hand. anyway i would'nt recomend sprint for beginner group because a lot of people that are out of shape might injure their hamstring or groin from sprinting.
after about 6 laps you should have finished about 1 1/2 miles and a full body work out that tolerable to most people. hope this helps :)
