wisdom teeth pain help please!?

over the past 48 hours i have had 3 wisdom teeth partially erupt and am experiencing increasing mouth pain as well as an earache and sore throat and it hurts to swallow.

i have a dentist appointment set up for monday. but my boyfriend is insisting i go see the family doctor tommorrow, in the meantime, for painkillers and antibiotics.

is it necessary to see a doctor? if tylenol doesn't help vicodin probably won't help the pain but will antibiotics work quickly enough and kill pain until the surgery?

please let me know what you think. this pain is horrendous. thank you :)

You could try Ibuprofen 800mg to help with the swelling and pain. For the mouth, its much better for pain then Tylenol. You could also swish warm water and Peroxide (50/50 mix) in your mouth for about a minute to help relieve pain and swelling. Warm salt water will also help some.

And it wouldn't hurt to call your family doctor to see if he can help if none of this helps.
