How to check fuel pressure 1985 Ford?
I'm working on a 1985 Ford F150 with a 302 Electronic Fuel Injection engine built for California. The genius engineers for Ford did not put a Shrader valve on the fuel rail so I suspect that they may have provided another way to check the fuel pressure. (I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.) If you are familiar with this engine and know how to check the fuel pressure then I would be forever grateful for any help you can give me. If you are not intimately familiar with this engine the question for you is: What would you do to connect a pressure gauge without the usual Shrader valve? Yes I've asked this question before but since I haven't got any satisfactory answers I'm asking again. The best answer I have for this is that there is a kit that goes between the fuel line and the fuel rail to provide a point to connect a gauge but the guys at two different parts stores could not help without the name of a manufacturer.

The other answer is the best one (and the correct one) A Master fuel injection test kit has the proper adapter for this application.

NOTE: The adapter (in the picture) with the RED hose is the one for your application.

All you need to do is disconnect the fuel line from the throttle or injector and connect the gauge in using a piece of hose and clamps. Many part stores should have this gauge as they are pretty common. The gauge should have a tee where you can tie in, but you may have to bu some extra fuel hose to do the job.

you could connect a gauge to the outlet side of the fuel filter and clamp it and check pressure there.

you may ought to seek for determination a thank you to ascertain gas tension. in line with probability unbolt the gas rail/injectors and watch for gas spraying out of the injectors to substantiate suitable tension being introduced
