Why is the Romney/Ryan campaign attacking Obama over the space program?

Given the multi-billion $$$ cost of each of the various explorations: each moon shot, each shuttle missions, each Mars Rover or other unmanned vehicle?

Don't get me wrong. I followed all of them and loved it. I would love to see it continue. I am just wondering, where in the Romney/Ryan budget, they plan to find the funds. What cuts would they make to pay for the program if they keep it?

    The budget right now is:

    24% Defense

    22% Welfare

    22% Social Security

15% Medical (excluding medical welfare, which I included with welfare, but it's 9%)

Add those up. That's 83% of the budget. That leaves about 1/5 of the budget.

Out of that fifth, we've got:

    35% Interest

    18% Education

    18% Transportation

    12% Police

Add THOSE up, and you get 83%. So you're left with about 1/5 of 1/5 of the budget.

So we've taken the budget, cut it into 5 slices, and cut one of THOSE slices into five slices. Out of that slice of a slice:

    83 % Things that aren't NASA

    17 % NASA

So we take that tiny slice, and slice IT into 5, and that's NASA's budget.

You are trying to solve any economic problem at all, with THAT MONEY?

No. Romney was right to attack Obama. The technology NASA has given the world is a huge part of why America has about a $14 trillion dollar GDP to begin with. Now it's relying on Russia to get into space at all. That's inexcusable.

If you had a business, and you had a guy working for $5 an hour, and he was adding more value to your company than people being payed $125 an hour, would you fire him? Because that's what Obama did.

You should ask the Thousands of NASA Employees that have been laid off.

Ask us Tax Payers who are now Paying Millions & Millions to Russia's Space Program.

    Ask your Messiah Obama.

The day is coming when wars will be fought from space and I agree it was awesome but really impractical at this time. However we have to keep ahead of our enemies who are already ahead of us with plans to use space for their weapons.
