ex smokers: is life better?

I'm planning on quitting, but i'm just scared.. I've tried before and people have been telling me "you will crave for the rest of your life" so it's just not gotten me anywhere. So, are things better?

Meh, the cravings are always there.. But they're only really bothersome for the first few weeks until you get all the nicotine out of your system. After that, it's nice to feel as if you've accomplished something and gotten over it.

Go ahead and do it. Not only will you be healthier, have more money and not be a slave to tobacco. You'll have something to be proud about.

If you try, and fail, then try again. At least you tried. It may take you a few times, but don't beat yourself up about it. Just try again until you quit.

by experience I cannot tell you, but ive known a co worker for 4 years and know all about his smoking issue. hes about 48 years old and has quit several times one time he lasted 6 months then went back to smoking. hes quit again and so fars its been almost a year, but he does often complain and "craves" for a smoke. I dont know if he will snap again but he says he has been saving more money and looks healthy. however deep down he probable wants one, i hope the best for you if he can do it so can you. seek help from family and friends to quit i along with others help my co worker. also use pathces or gum they sell them at walgreens cvs or walmart. Best of luck to you!

I know its hard to quit and some people have problems quitting but once you get smoking out of your mind its a new start to your life and yes life would be better (its my opinion)
