Deodorant and shaving?
Lately I've been having this weird issue with my deodorant. I've just been using a Sauve brand one, however, when I showered later in the day, and shave, I literally shave off the deodorant, and it gets all clogged up in my razor! When I apply at the beginning of my day, I don't use an absurd amount, or reapply more than once, if at all, through out my day. So it's not like I'm piling it on or anything.
I've tried to scrub and scrub my armpits to get rid of the deodorant before I shave, but no matter how hard I try, it's still coming off on my razor, and clogging it up.
I've tried clear gel formula deodorants, but they don't seem to work as well, or last as long as powder/stick formula ones.
Would switching to a clinical strength variety help at all?

They must put some very strong ingredients for the deodorant to be "waterproof". Actually, if I were you I would change brands. I love Burt's Bees. It is herbal, smells good and best of all it is spray. I always prefer spray over any of the others. There are so many chemicals in many of the deodorant/antiperspirants that it cannot be good for you in any way.

Have you considered bathing/showering in the mornings, before you put on deodorant? I've found that giving mine a bit more time to wear off helps a lot (it has a full 24 hours to wear off, at least, before I try to shave)... I also use body wash on my armpits before shaving, which may or may not help to break it down.
Hope this helps.

Have you thought about using a liquid roll on antiperspirant?
I do so myself, because I cant stand the way my armpits feel when using regular deodorant.
And shaving is no problem.

I use Dove brand and this doesn't happen to me at all. Maybe try that? Everyone is different though. It is worth a try.
