Do I look too big for her?

My little mare is a very slight Thoroughbred/QH cross, standing 15hh, maybe 15.1hh if she stood on her tiptoes. I'm 5'8 (close to 5'9) but done growing. Do I look silly on her? Or fine?

Update:

Standing on tiptoes is an expression, meaning she looks 15.1hh because of her presence and high head carriage when I lead her, but really she is 15hh- even. lol

I am done growing now at 18, and weigh 150lbs. With my saddle I weigh 185lbs.

I'm going to show this girl this next spring coming in Western Pleasure events. I'd love to show her in English jumping and Dressage as well, but all Dressage trainers/jumping coaches in the area say I am too big to look in the "traditional" English look for her.

Update 2:

As a result, I'm looking for a 'bigger' horse over 16hh for Eventing. :) Going to be looking at a horse 16.2hh in the next couple days as a prospect.

    Looks alright.

As long as you have good balance and not too heavy. You do make her look smaller than she actually is but that's not bad. Western riding I see taller riders on shorter horses more often anyways. And unless your doing English. English horses are usually much taller for riders so the horse can clear jumps or cover ground with long strides better. Also to prevent the person riding from throwing the balance off from the horse and the percentage of weight the horse can carry over a jump compared to walking down a trail or regular arena work.

Yes, you look fine on her. Don't worry about it. I know someone 6 foot who rides a 15hh horse and I know lots of people that are around 5'5 who ride little ponies as small as 13.2hh

P.S. - I may not know everything about horses or seen everything they can do, but I have never seen one standing on its tiptoes. So she is really 15hh, not 15.1hh unless you have taught her to walk in heels.

maybe slightly due to your length/height, but she's definitely big enough to carry your weight so I wouldn't worry about it. Also if you were in english saddle with legs a bit higher it would probably look perfect

    I'm 5'2 120 pounds on a 15 hand horse:

You look okay, you're thin so your not straining her. The next horse you get in your future should probably be 16 hands

    You look just fine.

A more important question is do you get along well with her? If she suits your abilities, chosen discipline, amd riding goal, that's much more important than her height.
