With so much variety, beauty and fascination on the web, why do children (who are supposed to have all the imagination) seek to force conformity on it and risk destroying it through the overuse of ugly memes like crudely drawn trolls and David Caruso?

Yes, but internet is just like life, full of everything. If you want to find something good, you can do it, if you want to find something funny, you can do it. I know that sometimes its frustrating to see that people try to make fun of everything, mock others, but one has to get used to it. You still can do what you want.
