Remember when Obama declared war on Libya?

Remember when Obama declared war on Libya?

I saw a few people ignorantly say that Obama avoids war at all cost. I would like to set that record straight by reminding Americans about March 2011

The United States declared yet another unconstitutional war in the Middle East today when it launched a bevy of deadly Tomahawk cruise missiles at the sovereign state of Libya.

Libya was carpet bombed on direct orders from Obama after our congress voted NOT to use military action against Libya.

He does not have the authority to call for military action against other countries. The executive branch of the United States government, however, has engaged in this sort of unlawful and flagrant violation of the Constitution since the end of the Second World War.

Congress recognizes no claimed power of the president to wage war outside of the War Powers Resolution. Congress passed the the War Powers Resolution in 1973 after Nixon illegally invaded Cambodia.

In taking the country into a war with Libya, Barack Obama's administration is breaking new ground in its construction of an imperial presidency -- an executive who increasingly acts independently of Congress at home and abroad. Obtaining a U.N. Security Council resolution has legitimated U.S. bombing raids under international law. But the U.N. Charter is not a substitute for the U.S. Constitution, which gives Congress, not the president, the power "to declare war."

Raise your hand if you think this had NO influence over the attacks on our embassies this year in Libya. Who takes responsiblity for what Obama does? Because it isn't Obama

He can't declare war anywhere, only Congress can do that.

I don't know where you get your misinformation, we haven't declared war on anyone since WWII.

Libya was a well-executed NATO action to allow the Libyans a chance at democracy. The issue of Libya has been handled very well in contrast with Iraq and Afghanistan which have cost trillions of dollars and over 6000 lives of American servicemen.

Libya was NOT carpet bombed, we don't carpet bomb anymore. We didn't even carpet bomb in Iraq.

With your ignorance, it would surprise me if you weren't a Republican.
