Difference between a crossbuck and a counter?
I am a DC for a youth (7-11) football team. We run the wishbone. I know the OC has been having issues with running a counter. The play progresses too slowly and gets blown up. A friend of mine was trying to teach me the crossbuck. Honestly I cannot see the difference between the two. I am much more of a D minded coach, but can someone help explain. Or are their any websites that give a detail explanation of the crossbuck play?

The main difference seems to be how the fake is executed, note that in the counter the linemen block opposite of the run direction, in the crossbow the linemen block straight, and you hope that the defense will assume that the ball is run where most of the backs are going. It makes iess likely that the RB is taken down in the back field.

Normally, for meats like filet that are behind the counter are Prime cut whereas the pre-packed stuff is Choice. At least that's the way my markets operate Those are U.S. terms that relate to the US Department of Agriculture rating of beef. It only has to do with the marbling of the beef. High end restaurants (steak houses) tend to serve only Prime meats (which also tend to have slightly more fat)
