Why is my 2007 Honda Civic Overheating?

The car overheats all the time after just a few minutes of running. The thermostat has been replaced and it still overheats. It has plenty of fluid and the heater will not make heat no matter how hot the engine gets.

Is the electric fan turning on? Thats usually the culprit if it overheats while sitting still.

But if theres no heat at all from the heater, Id say the water isnt circulating then, bad water pump.

Your final vehicle had over 220k on it? whether it overheats from now and then, it nevertheless is a intense quantity of miles for that engine to be working! i could actually choose for the Honda as long as you do not have plans on going all "speedy n furious" on it. because it sits in the inventory state, it is an exceedingly stable and effective vehicle. As for the Acura, for the overheating... look right into a clean water pump, or if the vehicle nevertheless has the inventory radiator... improve in the radiator will decelerate fluid as nicely as shop it from being cooled. attempt a radiator flush in the past wanting to purchase something. If all else fails... a hundred and sixty degree thermostat could do the trick.

Having plenty of "fluid" which in this case is called coolant, doesn't mean anything if the coolant isn't flowing through the engine and the radiator.

You could have a blockage, or a bad water pump.

no heat usually means that you are low on coolant, was the system bleed or are you just checking the coolant reservoir, open the cap when cold and let it warm up and refill the radiator
