Medicare supplemental insurance plans with dental and vision benefits for a 71 year old woman in Missouri?
Hello. I live in the state Missouri. I was wondering if anyone knows of any Medicare supplemental insurance plans with dental and vision benefits for my elderly grandmother? She is 71 years old. Or if you have any information on this matter please, do share. Thank you!

Medicare supplemental insurance plans do not offer dental and vision. They cover ONLY the same services that Original Medicare covers and that is not dental or vision. If she switches to a Medicare Advantage plan she may find one that offers some vision and dental because I have such a plan. She can change in October.

First off, Medicare is very confusing so a basic explanation is in order.
You can get coverage in addition to Medicare in two ways. The first is with a Medicare Supplement and the second is with a Medicare Advantage plan. They are two different types of policies and they operate differently. Yes, many people with an Advantage plan call it their supplement but it isn't, and if I as an agent called an Advantage plan a Supplement Medicare could pull my certification to sell those policies.
That out of the way, NO, there are no Medicare Supplements that have dental and vision but YES, there are Medicare Advantage plans that have dental and vision, either included with the plan or as an additional option with an additional premium. However, Medicare Advantage plans are county and even zip code specific so it would matter where in MO your grandmother lives as to what plans are available. She needs to speak with an agent that works with all of the plans in your locale; the agent can help her find a plan and won't charge her anything for the service. This is the time of year that most people can switch so she needs to do this before the deadline on December 7.

Medicare doesn't cover dental and vision, so Medicare supplements don't cover dental and vision. Just buy her a separate dental insurance or dental discount plan. For vision, just pay cash. You don't need insurance for vision as they generally only give you about 25-35% off retail prices. We just negotiated 50% off in a store - didn't take much effort.

Sir, your questions are bally ridiculous, but the answers are hilarious. The naivety of some humans has the tears jogging down my face. Your housekeeper is a slacker sir, substitute her with a 15year old filly as soon as viable. She is going to work for below the minimum wage 14hours a day 6 days every week. And will live in to be on responsibility within the evenings, and Sundays..

You need to bring your grandma to a local - to her - agent, who specializes in senior insurance plans. THEY can tell you what - if anything - is available in her state.
