Since the hair has been cut, it's a waiting game till the hair grows back.
There are tricks you can do, but depending on how much ground you are trying to cover, it may not work.
If you have some growth, you can accent it with mascara. They sell stuff specifically to accent your hair, but sometimes it's more expensive, and ends up looking the same. Just make sure to keep it off your scalp, or the technique won't look as good.
Another option is to use an eye shadow to fill in up to where the hair line should be. Don't use jet black, or it will look harsh. Even if your hair is black, jet black is too dark. Don't use the applicator that comes with it, you need a short and soft bristle watercolor brush and a light touch. And tap the excess off before putting it to your head.
A third is to combine both techniques. If you do this option. Start with the eye shadow then do the mascara.
But these are used for minor corrections, I'm not sure how much of the hairline you need to fill in.
There are other cosmetic options, but they are bit involved, and I think too much for daily application.
