Why isnt my computer detecting my flash drive?
So yesterday my flash drive was working fine on my and my sister's computer. now today when i put my flash drive in nothing comes up and i dont see my flash drive on my computer. please help i have alot of stuff saved on there.
it wont work on either of our computer not just mine just to let you know

If your sisters pc is a windows 7 and yours is XP, go to your sisters PC and run a repair on it... unplug and take to yours, it works! I dont know how but it does

POSSIBLE reason is that your USB card in your pc is an old one. Try installing a new high speed USB card, I got some off e bay 5 port for 4.75 each???
Easy to fit, just plug into a slot in your pc, probably take the old one out and put the new one in it's place.
Obviously make sure PC is turned off, unplug power cable from mains,,open case, and don't fiddle about inside or touch stuff, just the card and the card in
