Arnold writes a book (Total Recall) where he discusses his transgressions, now he ...?

... asserts his desire for forgiveness in the media. What are your thoughts?

Update:

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Update 2:

I'm trying to pick BA ... let's see if this posts.

Update 3:

The following was going to be my comment to the BA but YA won't let me pick one:

Ain't that America ... this piece of arrogant excrement w/ no sense of decency, piling up the infidelity until he got caught. Now w/ his thespian fibers in full bloom, he portrays a humbled mendicant on bended knee begging forgiveness as a means to sell his book and the media pays him to promote it.

Republicans always talk about "forgiveness" when they get caught red-handed. That's the genius of claiming that they're "Christians," which they always do. Criminality and Christianity always go hand in hand. There's a perfectly symbiotic relationship between the two.

You'd have to be a crazy Christian Republican fool to forgive this schmuck. But then again, you'd have to be a crazy Christian Republican fool to have elected him in the first place. And yet, the damn fool Christian Republicans not only elected him: They were ECSTATIC about what a perfect Republican hero he was.

I kick my vife in zee butt. I vare zee pants in my family. I tell Maria vat to do und ven to do it. She obeys me like all of my vimmen do. I vill bring Law Und Awder to Callifawnia. Ja? Zen vee vill all be pumped up. Vee vill sing zee Horst Vessel Song. Zare vill be a Triumph of Zee Vill und zee Master Race vill rise again. Heil Hitler! Ja?"

Blu, you may have half answered your own question (".. asserts his desire for forgiveness in the media...") and I'm surprised no one has mentioned this so far: I heard somewhere recently that Arnold just may be gearing up to run for some political office in the future (what office I couldn't guess) and is throwing everything out on the table now, pleading guilty of his transgressions and feigning real repentance. This was just conjecture, but I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years we start hearing rumblings of Arnold throwing his hat back into some political arena. In fact, I could almost bet on it. We'll see.

I can't figure out the true intended audience for the book. I mean, really, who cares? The only real mystery in the minds of Northern Californians is how he was elected to governor when we all voted against him. Good grief! Beyond that, it was just a dark period in our lives. We didn't have the slightest interest in his personal life & still don't. What else can we say other than, "The end!" & "That's all, folks!"

So now, former Gov. S., go back to your den & enjoy your retirement. Most of all, just go! Beyond that, we don't want to know.

I do not know the man and have not seen his early movies. I did like the one with Jamie Lee Curtis because she was in it.

From what I can gather on here life is all about forgiveness, asking for it and being granted it even when it is not ask for. So with that as a yardstick I guess it is fine for him to do BUT, I wonder if it is sincere when you do the celebrity thing and make a book and book tour of it? ( will he be doing book signings too?) Shouldn't sincere feelings be private and not exposed those you claim to love to more public humiliation?

My thoughts on Arnold haven't changed since he was governor and I was a nurse in one of the hospitals that treated him. He was anything but kind to the female work force and especially the nurses. There was something about him that most of us didn't trust. This was way before the affair with his maid. He can apologize all he wants. I still don't trust him and I cant help but wonder how his own child feels about being called the biggest mistake of my life. I'm still trying to figure out how he got elected.

    In my opinion, stupidity.

    I am a No. #1 Arnold-as-the-Terminator-fan.

But when he started smoking cigars; stupid.

Then his housekeeper says "the baby is yours." What happen to DNA testing?

Morey has women on his show every day claiming guys to be the dads. MOST are not.

Then he writes a book and brags about all kinds of affairs.

    Ever heard of aids?

I love his movies. Terminator, Total Recall. But him personally? Pleassssseeee.

I've always had some question about the guy's maturity. The reviews of his book sound like a teenager bragging about how many girls he's bedded.

Just like I told everybody when he was running for Governor, the guys highest competency level was when he was a Nazi weight lifter.

He and those hanger oners get money from the book. Again, it shows lack of humility. I'm not at all surprised. I'm sad for a boy fathered by a man that turned his back on him. He is not a mistake but for the rest of his life he'll be a victim. Money doesn't make it right, being able to call him his father from day one would have been the noble thing to do. Ugh

Personally I think he is arrogant and is not sorry for what he did at all. He is using that book to get back into the good graces of the public and to promote a new picture. He cares for NO 1 and that is himself and not Marie or his kids!

I don't know if you saw him on 60 minutes. He is so greedy. He is so power-hungry.

He became gov. because people trusted Maria. He did well in his movied cause he had all these liberals supporting him. Jaime Lee Curtis & then he was in one I loved called Twins where he & Danny Devito were twins. He got everything from using people then abusing them.

Maria Shriver is one of the most intelligent, nicest women around. I remember her telling that her parents would light up when any one of their children came into the room. What a classy lady.

He had that smirk on his face the smile that Bush Jr. would have whenever he talked about the war. It was like he couldn't contain it. I don't know what he is up to but I think he is one of the most evil men we have ever seen. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

He is saying he is not sure who is voting for cause he wants everyone to pay for his books & movied. I hope the democrats boycott him. He reminds me of OJ Simpson. Anyone who has any integrity should show him who creates jobs & not spend a penny on anything he does.

    It's a movie, not reality. There's a big difference.
