Their unreliable and usually have rubbish gearboxes. The value of it decreases fast and are not favored by any motorist. Small boot space. Not fast rather cheaply made. So they are on a cheap side but not worth it $12000( £7500)new. You can get a more reliable used car for $5000 or £3100. But keep saving. I'd say get a Saab nice reliable good value (25-35 MPG) and very safe in a collision! I love Saabs their very nice!

The smart fortwo was first introduced in Europe almost 20 years ago as a collaboration with Mercedes Benz. It was manufactured and designed to navigate small European roads easily and economically, and when first built, had amazing gas mileage because these cars rarely went above 65kmh. There it is, it was built and designed for European roads, not even highways. Then for some reason Americans wanted them. It is a death trap on big American roads littered with big American cars. That is why sales are going down; people are *finally* realizing that this car is not practical for 80% of American roadways and lifestyle. If you do a quick google search, I'm sure you'll find that most smart cars reside in big cities with low speed roads(ex NYC, Chicago, etc).

Hope this helped your understanding as to why sales are going down. I hope that you smarten up(no pun intended) as buy something a little more practical for American roadways.

it fairly is attainable with distinctive wrestling followers that understand the character of the question you're asking, some human beings see a query a pair of tale line and basically assume that the guy asking does not understand which would be a tale line. Why did matt attack Jeff is a stable social gathering, even in a tale line he needs motives for his strikes yet distinctive human beings spoke lower back the question "which would be a tale line he replaced into instant to" could prefer to be talking with somebody it fairly is unsleeping the question is indoors the context of kayfabe it fairly is unusual on suitable here simply by actuality no remember if that's no longer a WWE mark that thinks they understand some element answering it fairly is somebody that isn't a fan that basically needs to bash human beings.

They are UN-reliable, UN-ecnomical (compared to a larger, safer car like a Corolla), and they are a death trap IMO. And last but not least they are butt UGLY.

OH, I forgot to mention, the trade in value sucks too.

Try and imagine what would happen to YOU in the event of a collision with a Suburban or Excursion......

I'll help you out here. Firefighters would be spending HOURS trying to dig all the pieces of squished body parts out of that little glorified beer can.

Also, remember that good cars don't go away. Saturn is an example of a lousy car that DESERVED to disappear.

Its smart economically no doubt, and may have good features including good gas millage.. but some people just prefer sports cars, luxury cars, trucks, basically purchase a car based on the type of car they like.. even if it means they have to pay more for gas and what not.. For example.. I have a sporty car because its fast and nice, even though i know its gonna cost me a little more to fuel it.. That is a sacrifice im willing to make, because I like my car.. people just like what they like, I guess the smart car just isn't really popular.

The "Smart" car doesn't get the gas mileage it should. Look at the EPA numbers. And it takes PREMIUM gas. There are larger cars with more power that get better fuel economy and don't require premium gas which is more expensive. Proof: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&...
