Blu-Ray Player VS Roku - Netflix?

I currently have a blu-ray player that I got for Christmas, after calling the company I found out that it doesn't connect to Netflix. I'm not sure if it would be easier for me to buy a Roku box or a new Blu-ray player that has Netflix capabilities? WIth the blu-ray player I would just put my current one in my bedroom to replace my old dvd player. The issue is a new blu-ray is about $75 versus a Roku which is about $50. I'm trying to be a little budget conscious here too. Also, I do not have any gaming systems either.

Any thoughts???

I would get a separate box.

My BluRay player has about 8 apps. My Western Digital Live box has 25 and gets regular updates. My WD box also plays computer files from USB flash drives and can even stream from my PC wirelessly. The little box's are much better than the 'after thought' of Netflix in a BluRay player.

I would get a blu ray player myself they just offer more flexibility and will be more useful over the long run, right now you might think all you want is netflix but in the future you might want to do something else take a look at Sony Blu ray players they offer a lot of features for the money...

It'll depend for your internet and on the movie, but on the whole, streaming goes to offer you about DVD high-quality, whereas blu-ray is native 1080p. Even the stuff Netflix says is already in HD is absolutely handiest in 720p and is highly compressed. In case you were to watch a blu-ray aspect-with the aid of-side you could possibly in most cases see the variations in the edges and pleasant small print. This isn't ample of a change for many matters however for those who quite love that specified film and have it on blu-ray you'll realize it.
