I need ideas for furniture and decorations in my bedroom!?

Not enough information - how old are you? How large is your room? How much free wall space do you have to put furniture against? I am in the process of buying new furniture and re-arranging existing furniture in the den and in the dining/living room. I drew the rooms to scale using a large pad of 1/4" to 1' scale graph paper and an architect's ruler. I drew out the rooms noting windows, doors, openings and electrical out lets. I measured the existing furniture that I plant to keep and went on line to find styles and sizes of furniture that I want to purchase. It is a good thing I did this before shopping. I had some ideas that will not work. I am incorporating a bench and a coffee table with built in storage. A bench with built in storage at the foot of your bed is a good idea. It gives you a place to fold down your comforter, sit to pu on your shoes and store extra bedding or out of season clothes.

Lay out your plan before you buy or spend a lot of time and energy moving furniture around.

As for decorations look on line. If you are a tween or teen look for teen bedrooms. If you are an adult look for styles that you like. I am fond of the mission look and I also like the old world look. I also like craftsman style which works with either.

Plan before you buy. When you shop bring your camera, a tape measure and a notepad.

A good site for all things bedroom are the channel four site i have listed as a source and the furniture sites i have linked to with some very nice bedroom furniture. It all depends what you want. In some instances you can make your own furniture really simply. Type "bedroom funiture ideas" into Yahoo search and you will get some great results.

Since you like the Betty Boop theme, I would paint the walls white and do a fun border on the wall in either a red/black polka dot or a design that you would like. Garage sales are a good place to find cheap accessories to decorate in that theme. Hope it helps.
