Can anyone give me the low down on the Bank of America?
I'm British. My daughter is a US citizen and is having problems with BOA who have 'lost' her mortgage payment. They admit the loss but are insisting that she provides them with a further payment and are threatening to foreclose on her. Surely this is incorrect?

Why isn't your daughter making another payment and putting a stop payment on the old check?
Hint: She is not telling you the truth.
Also if a bank does not clear something within a week, I know to contact them and make another payment. Don't you?
And... they do not threaten to foreclose unless she has a history of not paying or being consistently late for months and months.
To your daughter: Tell her the word honesty.
In the US there is an expression. Pulling the wool over your eyes.
Don't let her do this to you.
