Friend that you have just met starts talking about a boyfriend...?

and that sweetest day is coming up. But you don't know how to respond or continue the conversation because you are homosexual

I want to know how normally gay/lesbian people deal with these encounters, when people they have just met start talking about romantic relationships, children or things of that nature, which don't apply to you because you are homosexual

Before you go on saying that gay couples could "have" kids, let me mention that I do not want to have kids. All I want is what I have, a girlfriend

Just change the topic. Or carefully continue on, like if they say "I want to have kids someday." you'd say, "Yeah, kids are cute but so much work. I dont think I could handle it."

You could respond as it is great to be in such a nice relationship (if single and dating) or if married, have such a nice marriage, or if kids, have such a nice family like you have.

Remember, most people respond better if you get them talking about themselves! Once they ask you, so you have a great gf too.

All of those things still apply to gay people.

Um... the same way anyone else would. Im heterosexual and if I didnt want kids then surely I would be in the same position as you?
