How do I attach a patch to leather?

I'm trying to attach a leather patch to a leather vest, but there's a catch. I'm trying to do this in such a way that the patch is removable, and doesn't damage or otherwise affect the vest when it comes off. No sticky residue or holes, or things like that.

Any suggestions?

Try a glue called Sticky Tack. It's a reusable adhesive that looks like gum. Blue colored. You just kneel it like dough, pinch off some and stick it to whatever. It removes without pulling paint off the wall. Just roll out a thin thread like gob of it to tack the edges of the patch down.

Hope that helps. Amazon: sticky tack adhesive
