A school pep club sells 39 stadium seat pads and 23 stadium seats

a. Use the Distributive Property to write and simplify an expression for the total profit.

Remember: Profit= Price - Cost

b. The club charged $8 for a stadium seat pad and $18 for a stadium seat. Use the simplified expression from part a to find out what is the club's total profit?

    Stadium seat pad cost = x

    price = 5

    Profit = 39(x - 5)

    Stadium seat cost = y

    price = 12

    Profit = 23(y - 12)

    A.) Profit+Profit = Total Profit

    39(x-5)+23(y-12)=Total

    39x+23y-471=Total

    B.) 39*8 + 23*18 - 471 = $255
