Is using regular windex daily bad?

So I just realized that windex has ammonia in it. I've been using it daily in my kitchen to clean my table top. Should I stop using it?

Update:

Since someone decided to be a smart mouth. My table is glass

Update 2:

Thank you! I think I'll stop using it as often and only use it once a week instead <3

No. My mother used ammonia for years with no ill effects. I have been using ammonia for 25 years, just common household stuff, for cleaning toilets and such...no ill effects.

Just think of it this way, if we got rid of every obnoxious smelling or every active chemical that kills bad germs, we wouldn't have anything left to fight disease with. Staying clean means having to use some chemicals - chemicals that sometimes smell nasty like ammonia, but they do the job of cleaning and sanitizing and keeping you and your family from getting sick.

No, it can become dangerous if you are cleaning for long periods of times with it. Doing so over exposes you to the fumes released and can contribute to respiratory concerns. If the area is well ventilated, it also helps how much of it you're exposed to. You can also pour the windex onto the cleaning rag, instead of spraying it, which lessens the amount of chemicals released into the air.

If you are concerned, you can break down the ratio. 1 cup of windex to 3 cups of water. However diluting it may cause it not to work as good. If you want to do away with it all together, then Windex has plenty of ammonia free products. The anti-bacterial multi-surface one is great!

I assume the table is plastic or glass. You are fine. I would not be using it on wood furniture. I use it to clean my kitchen as well, stove, counter, sink and faucets. I can still use soap and water on the stainless steel as Windex can mare certain stainless stells.

Yeah, I'd rather you use soap and water once in awhile on the table........but understand the snatch and spray.

Ammonia is very toxic and using it regularly not only does it destroy a kitchen surface but it also damages your health. There is a new glass cleaner on the market called Powglass that I use on all my glass, kitchen surfaces... and tvs. It is natural, safe and smells fresh. Highly recommended.
