Can fibrocystic breast turn into cancer?
I have had fibrocystic breast disease for years. I am now after menopause (age 77) Is this a risk factor 4 breast cancer?

People with fibrocystic breasts are at slightly higher risk for breast cancer but not by much. It also may be more difficult to diagnose if you have dense breasts because the cysts may obscure the mammogram. I have really bad fibrocystic breasts. You need to up your calcium and eat more cruciferous vegtables. Avoid Soy and other xenoestrogens or other endocrine disruptors. I saw a huge improvement in my fibrocystic breasts when I stopped using products with parabens or benzophenone-4 in them. Evening primrose oil is also supposed to help relieve fibrocystic breasts.
