I just moved into a new house with my dog and now he is itching like crazy.

Your vet will give you something like Advantage to put on your dog to kill the fleas. Buy a cheap flea collar at the grocery store, cut it up and put it in your vacuum bag and vacuum frequently to kill any fleas you suck up. That should do the trick.

You have to kill the eggs as well as the fleas. This means, a good dog bath OUTSIDE the house first. Then, I would get about 4 - 5 black flag bomb sprays and set them up each in a major area of the house, use newspapers, follow all directions. COVER ALL FOOD! Don't leave any food out while you do this. BOM the entire house. Make sure you get the kind that the label says KILLS THE EGGS. You should also wash all your bedding. Make sure you turn all your couch/sofa and relaxation chair seats up so that flea eggs can be gotten to underneath and to the sides of the furniture. Leave the house for a few hours - let doggie dry in car. Go for a ride. Come back a few hours later and immediately air out the house, all windows open for 10 -15 solid minutes. Pick up and dispose of boms. Wash your hands after handling the newspaper and spent bug bombs. Throw away immediately in a garbage can outside and away from where your dog and other animals might get poisoned by the newspapers or spent bombs.

    This should do it.
