What kind of meals can I make to stretch the week?
So my wife just left for a business trip that'll last a little under a month. A week's already passed so I'm down to three. Looking for cooking ideas to make meals that are quick to heat up, will last the whole week (in terms of size), and are cheap to make. I hate going to the grocery store.
So far I've made a massive pot of chili, but I'm feeling a little un-inspired and, well, sick of beans.
No need for recipes, I can get those online. Just looking for ideas.

You cannot go wrong with a crock pot dish. Those can last a while depending on how many people are eating it and how much you make.
Bascially all you need for a hearty dish is a Roast Beef, carrots, onions, tomaotes, celery, corn, literally anything. Oh and some Beef broth.

Hamburger...The gift that keeps on giving! That you can make foods out of it you not ever even knew was a meal. And a little bit goes far, simply try utilizing less per meal. That you could make a relatively saucy spaghetti and use less hamburger. Meat loaf, beat 2-3 uncooked eggs per pound of meat and add further crackers or whatever for making the loaf better and feeding more. Additionally, with meatloaf, their isn't any set recipe, what ever you have on hand can flavor it up. Even if all you have is a $1.00 bottle of catsup's. Ever try having breakfast for dinner? $eight-9.00 tops; 1gal. Milk, 1doz. Eggs, 1-2loafs bread, some Cinnamon, tada you've got a mess of french toast! Additionally try making enormous pots of soups and chowder which can be filling and final longer. The climate is somewhat warm for them right now, nevertheless it beats a pointy stick in the eye called hunger. As soon as a number of years back, we lived a whole week on nothing but potato soup. For a at the same time after that i wouldn't devour a potato of any variety. Nevertheless it was once inexpensive to make and a lot of it to head round. Just be ingenious...Whatever will style just right when you get hungry enough and existence is all about survival of the fittest. Do not be afraid to scan. Just right luck, and God Bless!! P.S. Church pantries supply out free food.

Cook a pork loin roast. Have it first with roasted vegetables and gravy, then make sandwiches, then make stew.
Roast a whole chicken. Have chicken, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable, then chicken sandwiches, then chicken salad, then chicken and noodles or dumplings. (For chicken and noodles, boil the carcass to make stock and get all the meat off the bones. Then remove all the bones, skin, and gristle and put your noodles or dumplings in the pot. Have you ever used Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles? They're wonderful! In the freezer at the supermarket.)
Chicken Azteca. My family loves it. You'd need to double the recipe. http://www.food.com/recipe/slow-cooker-chicken-azt...
Hungarian goulash. Have it over noodles or long grain & wild rice.
Smoked sausage, potatoes, and green beans all cut up and cooked together. Add an onion. Make biscuits or cornbread. Use hot sauce. I could happily eat this for a week.

I love to make a big batch of tuna macaroni salad. It will keep in the fridge for a while and all you need to do is put it in a bowl and eat. YUMMM.

Goulash, beef stew, spaghetti. You can even take your chili and add some Velveeta and eat it over chips.
