How is America perceived by non-Americans?

Hello, I am writing a thesis paper, and I need to interview the international community regarding this question. I would like to know, based on your knowledge of America, how do you perceive race relations, in America. I would prefer if you have never travelled to America, because that way I could have your view based on what you have seen in the media via television and magazine. If you have visited your opinion is just as welcome. There are no wrong answers. I would appreciate any and all opinions, I love to hear others insights on how racial diversity is viewed in America. Thank you in advance.

Arrogant and stupid, that's what comes to mind, but when I went to America (I was very young) but I remember everyone was really friendly and nice and welcoming.

Although, I think Americans are really into their religion and take it to extremes.

    That's what I think :)

regularly, they are percieved as pleasant, yet often times to the point of being loud, obnoxious and comprehend-it-all. also, each now and then human beings will placed you instantaneous for political/authorities coverage that you need to completely disagree with. Bush has finished extra to ruin theory of the U.S. and of human beings than the different president in my lifetime (8 of them in all)
