The Sims 2 vs The Sims 3?

I had all the Sims 2, then when i bought The Sims 3 at first i was like....."wft......sims are so ugly" but for that you can download model sims on the official website in the exchange category, so... I definitely prefer The Sims 3 for the rest. When you create a sim you have a lot more options, you can choose all the facial parts and personalize textures of clothes, color of hair/eyes etc. You can choose to make your sim fat or thin as you want, voice and all these stuff that the sims 2 doesn't have. Same thing for the buildings, some houses are just amazing, you can use it for an architecture purpose too XD The gameplay is fine, as every the sims it requires your own fantasy :) but there are a lot of interesting interactions, like in the sims 3 generations you can trick some friends. Btw my favourite The Sims of all the time will always be The sims makin' magic! so nostalgic, absolutely the best one.

When it comes to EP/SP, I find that the two are pretty much equal. Sims 2 gets a couple more points for the awesome clothes and furniture in Teen Stuff, but Sims 3 gets points for the amazing career opportunities that come with Showtime. Overall, however, I think Sims 3 definitely wins. There are just so many more options with everything. In CAS and Build/Buy mode, you can completely alter designs with the game's enormous variety of colors and patterns. There are also twice as many ways to arrange furniture now that you can put almost any item on a perfect diagonal. There are more options for landscaping patterns, and the base game comes with a basement building option as well as pool and vehicle options, as opposed to Sims 2, where you needed the Nightlife EP to get those. Gameplay itself is also much more user-friendly; not only are the graphics much better, but you can go into Town View, Town Edit mode, and Build/Buy mode with just the click of a button, whereas in Sims 2 it changed to a whole new loading screen. The only doubt I have in regard to Sims 3 is that the boolprop cheat doesn't work. The testingcheatsenabled one doesn't afford nearly as many options, although I believe the moviemaker cheat makes up for that somewhat.

Personally i love The Sims 3 actually it's updating right now lol.

-Create a Sim is a lot more realistic and you have so many more options. Hair,Clothes,Etc.

-Building you also have a lot more options to chose from. You can make anything you ever dreamed. Sims 2 had a lot of limitations and not as good graphics.

-Game play more realistic choices in the sims 3

but all in all everyone likes their own game.

but i love sims 3 more detail and awesome expansion packs create anything you want.

Sims 3 is better while Sims 2 remains better as a story tool. Sims 3 is animated much more fluidly. In Sims 3 there are nice shortcuts. You have more choices and control in Sims 3 to create your Sim. The Sims Studio have basically added a lot of user interface tweaks and gameplay tweaks.

I had Sims 2 with plenty of expansions and now I have Sims 3 with all the expansions. I prefer Sims 3. Customization in create a sim and building is so much better. I love that the city grows and lives with you and you can travel your city freely without loading screens.

-- unlike the sims 2, you can actually control their weight(if u want to make them SUPER skinny, or SUPER fat), or like the size of women's breasts.

-- its alot easier to make a unique sim in the sims 3

Building:

--once again, you can change the color of nearly EVERYTHING

-- easy to make a unique house and what not with the customizing tool

Gameplay-

-- i like the openness of the game, less load screens because the entire town is already loaded

Sims 3 for sure. I mean the character creation is so in depth to the last detail. The building is remarkable theres nothing thats not customizable. And game play compared to sims 2 theres many more things to.
