Can I drink off of the cruise in the Bahamas?

The drinking age is 18 and you can walk around with the drink in your hand and the cops would not say anything. Do not rent any scooters from J&S or Bow Car within Bay Street Market. After conducting business and completing the paperwork for a half day of scooter rental. We proceeded to the back of market to retrieve our scooter. We noticed almost all of the scooters were within very bad condition, almost all of the helmets did not fasten properly, almost all of the scooters were missing at least one scooter mirror and almost all the scooter horns did not work. We returned to the scooter rental desk to inform the gentleman that we do not want to proceed with our rental agreement because of the condition of the scooters but the gentleman refused to provide us with a refund. He recommended another scooter and informed us that the scooter was recently inspected and it was within excellent condition. Upon entering Bay Street I had to jump off that scooter so that I could avoid an accident because the scooter brakes & horn did not work. I returned to the desk once again and demanded a refund but the gentleman still refused to provide a refund. While cruising back to America on the cruise ship, my wife and I received other information from people that their scooters stopped working on them near Montagu Bay beach and another couple stated that their scooter stopped working on Prince Charles Street but the company refused their refund. Have fun but I would avoid this headache but my wife and I did not let it ruin our vacation. Have Fun

I have experienced young people drinking in the various establishments in Nassau. Some appeared to be quite young, However, it seems that if they act adult and keep their mouths shut, there isn't a problem.

The drinking age is 18 so yes, you can drink. It is advisable however to not drink to excess cause bahamian guys have been known to take advantage of drunk tourists. Just have enough to have a good time but don't get drunk is my advice. Senor Frogs is a lot of fun, you can see it from where you dock.
