Is 4 pills of Advil too much?

I'm a girl, 5'6 and I weigh 112 Llbs, is 4 okay?

    Most you should take is 2. But most say take one, and if you still get headache within hour later, take another one.

    Are they the 200mg tablets? 800mg as a single dose isn't uncommon, but it's beyond the OTC recommendations. Normally you'd only take that much at one time if directed by a physician. It should be okay though as long as you don't have any risk factors for GI bleeds. Don't take that much if you are on drugs that affect blood clotting,if you have a history of stomach ulcers, or are taking any other NSAIDs. Even if you don't have risk factors, you could still end up with stomach bleeding if you take that high of a dose long term. If you find that you need that much advil for long-term pain control, it would be best to speak with your doctor to see if it's appropriate or if another type of therapy would work better for you.

    Yes, it's too much. You should mix tylenol and ibuprofen at lower doses so they potentiate each other instead of relying on huge doses of a single drug. You could end up with serious stomach problems otherwise.
