I would probably pick the Asus U56E-BAL7. The price is reasonable (List $630), it has a 15.6" display, 6gb RAM, 750gb storage, excellent portability, 9-hour battery life, features very good ergonomics, performance, and versatility, and weighs only 5.7lb. It is one of the models recommended by Consumer Reports (August 2012). I don't play video games, so I don't need a high video memory feature.
