If you get two do your research. Don't listen to anyone that says you can just simply pair dwarf hamsters. I have owned 15+ Russian Male Dwarfs probably one of the easiest types of dwarfs to pair. I have kept them on there own... I have paired some and I have had some in sets of 3-4 and even one set of 6. A lot of people have issues further down the road and I would say at least 10% of all paired dwarfs need to be split up within a year permanently. Often at around 6-8 months due to excessive fighting. Don't let that completely scare you most of mine have worked out very well. But I have went out of my way to insure that and I was ready to split them up if I needed to and yes one group of four had to be split up three ways. Two nice ones stayed together. Two mean ones both lived alone! Dwarfs in general are more active, harder to tame and faster then syrians and bite more often but they are not that bad after 1-2 weeks or even before that. But it all depends on the personality of the hamster! Even more so when pairing like I said I must have got lucky that only one group ever really hurt each other. The others would fight a little and I needed to add in an extra wheel because that was one thing they were fighting over. But sometimes adding or changing things to the cage has no effect on the fighting. You do need bigger cages when pairing or grouping sometimes MASSIVE cages.
All my other groups including the six had little to no fighting. But the group of 4 was bad! 8 months later one of them almost killed an other one it was a bad. So if they fight a lot or leave any wounds on each other then it's like time to split them up. Some fighting is normal though. Most types of rodents caged together will do some fighting.
I know very little about Chinese dwarfs they could be better or worse to cage together! Sorry I know this was not your question and I don't expect to get best answer anything I am just trying to help and give advice. In the very least do some research before pairing. It might not be as difficult or problematic as I am making it out to be. But unless you know what your doing already look up some information. There are even ways to prevent them from fighting as much but sometimes it cannot be helped.

I feel it'd be first-class for those who went with Russian names considering their Russian Dwarf hamsters! My two favourite male Russian names are Dimitri and Nikolai, maybe you would use these. :)
