Is it wrong for a Christian to have doubts about God?
I consider myself a Christian, I believe in and love God... But sometimes I'll just be reading the bible or thinking about the afterlife and I'll have doubts. When that happens I feel like I've betrayed God and I feel sick to my stomach. But I can't help having them.
The bible says that you will only go to Heaven if you fully believe in God and give yourself over to him. Well since I have doubts that kinda means I don't "fully believe"...
Is it wrong? Will I still go to Heaven? Is there anyway to not have doubts?

This is what's wrong with Christianity in its present form -- there's nothing but words, a lot of talk. That isn't religion. LOTS of Christians leave the church or even become atheists because the church can't give them what they're looking for --- this is why so many Christians end up with doubts. Then the priest or minister tries to "counsel" them but they can't really do anything because the flaw is that the old ways have been forgotten. Nowadays all the church gives people are dogmas - then it says, "This is truth!" But when you do this, sooner or later, intelligent people are going to do something called, "thinking" because they need more. When Jesus was here, He didn't teach belief. He told people of His time that they should accept Him as One sent by God, but He was healing the sick, and raising the dead. He gave them reason to believe in Him. Today, all that's left is words. And that's why people begin to have doubts. In ancient times, there was more: There was the practice of meditation. But ironically, modern Christians are largely afraid of it -- some of them actually believe that meditation is "satanic!" That's how far down Christianity has fallen. If i were you, I would investigate meditation -- if you learn how to do that well, it will remove your doubts. I would also investigate something else: As i think you may know, there are 18 missing years of Jesus' life and Christians don't like to talk about that. Or they invent something to fill in that space such as, "Oh, He was working in His father's carpentry workshop!" I say to them, "You can't invent scripture!" And it's true. We're not authorized to do that. Where WAS Jesus during those 18 years? Start investigating all of that. It won't give you more doubt. It will take your doubts away. You don't "fully believe" but that's not a problem. Real religion isn't about belief. It's about the mystical experience that Jesus sent to His disciples. Remember? It's in the Book of Acts. And read the Book of Revelation. Find out what Jesus was actually talking about. The greater majority of Christians do not know much about what Jesus taught -- and most of them are not investigating. Why? Because they're afraid of what they might find out. And fear is only going to make things worse. If you want to get to God, then go and search for Him, and start investigating. It isn't wrong to not fully believe. You were given a mind and you are meant to use it to seek out truth, to investigate. 99% of Christians won't do that and many of them tell others NOT to investigate! That's incredible! They say, "Just BELIEVE!! That's all you need to do!!" WRONG! You need to KNOW!! You want to KNOW God, not just "believe in" Him. As for "heaven," you sound like you're afraid that God will send you to "eternal hell." That's another false idea: Christians have said, "God loves you more than you can imagine!" But then they say that He will send us to burn in hell forever if we screw up here. I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. Why would our Loving Father send us to burn forever? If you're afraid of God, if you actually believe that He would send you to burn forever, then that's just going to make you neurotic and it will be impossible to fully love God that way. God does NOT punish people forever, even if millions of Christians say that. Stop being afraid of Him: How can you fully love God and then be terrified of Him at the same time? Start investigating what Jesus really taught ... get past your doubts by seeking knowledge ...

A terrible analogy. "Will the followers of Croweranity think for one SECOND they are wrong? Will they doubt their faith? Abandon their beliefs and trade Judy Crower for Jesus Christ" Of course. The beliefs of people from any religious background will have some sort of doubts in their life, whether they were indoctrinated or not. The difference is whether they have the freedom to go about searching the answers to their doubts. In communist regimes like N. Korean and Afghanistan, Iraq, this doesn't exist. "Will you have ANY CHANCE at convincing them the sun god is not THE god" Of course. You can show them their belief is false by showing them the evidence that Judy Crower never existed or died; there were no witnesses and that the whole thing was perverted from Christianity. They may have been indoctrinated for their whole lives, but when the truth is known, they will surely abandon their false belief- that is if they have the freedom to do so. "Would they have any chance of convincing you to drink hemlock as a way to everlasting life?" Yes they do have a chance. Anybody with any beliefs, religious or secular, have a chance of convincing somebody else, no matter how ridiculous the belief is.

In YOUR Christian Bible, in a message from your Saint Paul, allegedly inspired by your Holy Spirit, those who Believe are specifically instructed to "PROVE all things; hold to that which is good."
So, look in the Bible, and see if Noah's Flood makes sense.
Does it prove God is all wise and all merciful?
If it happened, it seems to prove that God was too stupid to figure out a way to resolve the problem of Noah's nasty Neighbors, without drowning every baby on the planet.
The good news is: It could not have happened exactly as the Bible reports it.
First, there's the sheer mathematical impossibility.
Second, there's the claim that, after being under water deep enough to cover Mount Everest, for about an entire year, an olive tree was able to survive, and sprout leaves, which a dove carried back to the Ark.
With that obvious an error in it, the Bible blows all chance of it being accepted as "error-free".
So, keep on thinking critically about everything, as Paul and/or the holy Spirit have instructed you.
Toss out all the silliness, and if that includes tossing out the Biblical God, don't worry about it.
As Yahweh told Moses during one of the most important dialogues ever reported:
There ARE "other Gods" out there.
Either God said it and it's true, or the conversation never took place, and somebody just made it up, same as the Flood.

Christians discourage you from questioning. They prefer you to suppress your doubts & try not to think about it.
They won't phrase it that way of course, they will say something like... "you need to pray more" &/or "read the bible more" but that's what it amounts to (i.e. indoctrinate yourself more intensely until your doubts subside or until you just keep your mouth shut).
Having doubts about the bible & god is perfectly normal, & indeed, rational, it simply means that your brain is working. The bible & Christian doctrine is highly doubtful so doubting it is perfectly consistent with rational thought.
I'm an atheist so I obviously think the the bible is a total load, but I'm not going to try to tell you what to think. All I want to tell you is not to suppress your doubts & don't simply accept what you are told without question.
Think for yourself (which it seems you are) &, if you have doubts, seek the evidence. If the evidence isn't there, then you have no good reason to believe it. If the evidence is there then you do. It's pretty simple in the end.

I've been through your same situation. If you're feeling doubt about your religion, you should try to reevaluate why you're practicing that religion, is it because you believe in it or because someone else told you that's what you should believe in? Research different religions or talk to someone about how you're feeling because it can really help. Personally I consider myself an atheist because I don't know what to believe in. There is nothing wrong with doubting your religion it's only natural. I hope this helps. Just do what feels right for you.

The bible does not teach that humans go to heaven. God made us to live forever on the earth. If Adam had not sinned, he would still be alive. On earth.
Our brains are imperfect. Doubts and confusion are normal for us while we are in this condition of imperfection. Dismiss such thoughts or replace them with something pleasant. I like to sing a song in praise of God.

Everyone has doubts about everything. We have doubts about our career path, our relationships, our decisions. We face them head on and are stronger in the end.

not as long as you study his word to quell your doubts
doubts arise from unanswered questions - but scripture answers all our questions - and you have to study to get them!
Mar 9:24 Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Act 17:11 These were more noble in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
it's okay to tell God that you don't understand something - but it is unacceptable to tell him that you don't believe him
ask him for his help - he loves hearing from you!

Maybe you should seriously think about those doubts you have about your god.
Ever thought you could be wrong in your belief of him?
