How long to defrost steak in fridge?

I have a big T-Bone steak in the freezer and I am wondering how long it will take to defrost in the fridge? Will over night be long enough?

that should be enough time so long as the meat is not freezer burned or frosted. but it also depends on the temp of your freezer and the temp of your fridge and the thickness of the steak.

I usually take meat out a day or 2 before I make it and put it in the fridge. If it's still frozen i put it in a zip lock bag and submerge it in ice water. It helps defrost meat quickly and doesn't cook it like hot water would.

Ideally, your steak should be at room temp when you cook it. That will give you the most tenderness from premium quality cuts of meat.
