As a Christian, I have known some confusion, until God brought me back to His word on the matter. I have been unhappy, but the only misery I experienced was due to clinical depression, which God has 'dealt with' now. But I've never experienced lack of fulfillment since becoming a Christian! In fact, the older I get (and I'm no spring chicken) the more fulfilled I am becoming. I go to bed every night rejoicing with the satisfaction of another day of provision, protection, and opportunities taken to point to Christ.

But it's not easy following God. Jesus said we have to pick up our cross daily if we are to follow Him. Yet the rewards are immense and deeply satisfying. Short term distress or confusion is just a blip. I wouldn't change a thing in my life since becoming a Christian over 30 years ago - except I wish I'd served Him more. Seems like I've only got into overdrive in my old age!

Yes, at times. I've experienced some terrible confusion about religion during my life, including at times when I was very devoutly religious. My worries about religion have sometimes been very, very intense, to the point of provoking major anxiety attacks. Religion has been a source of great joy for me, but also a source of acute doubt, guilt, worry and frustration at moments.

It has nothing to do with God. God is something closer to you when you are in trouble and listen quietly without answering when you release your problems. Karma is *

If you mean the abrahamic god, yep. Couldn't understand why I wasn't special enough for him to answer my prayers and why my sex was considered so dirty and evil.

So glad I walked away from that god.
