Exactly the same because, he didn't place it, the garden didn't exist and Adam and Eve are representational for man in general not the first two people.

The literal taking of what is obviously a poor attempt to explain that man developed conciousness, self awareness, to be able to see consequence, which is one of the things that elevates us above other animals, is actually an attempt to explain the origin of our species and the only way they could at the time grasp this was to make up some divine power.

It was more of a scientific explanation, a theory that's been proven wrong time after time but that said all theories start with a premise.

So there you are 6 odd thousand years ago sitting round a fire and someone says, how did we get here then, and after a few beers you come up with a theory, and that's all it was, had they come up with we evolved from other animals that the earth was ancient, that there was only the cosmos then would god still exist in the minds of others, would people have created God anyway or would we be happy in the knowledge that we happened by chance, that this is it, that we matter not in the great scheme of things, maybe they should have had a couple more beers before writing it all down.

    We would not be here.

Adam and Eve would have been the only people and they would not have had any children.

Remember, the punishment for eating of the tree was that Eve would now suffer by having periods and having children and pain in child birth.

There would not have been any periods if she did not sin - therefore, no children.

They would have lived by themselves, been allowed to eat of the Tree of Life and probably lived forever. It would still be just the two of them in the garden, no other people.

Humanity would be living like well-kept pets. They would have all they needed to live, they could have some fun, there would be no illnesses or purposeful harm doing etc.

But they would remain ignorant of and concepts of ethics, morality or justice and would have little meaning in life other than to satisfy their natural urges. If they satisfied those urges at the expense of another, there would be no accountability etc.

  • People wouldn't know good or evil. Even though there would be no sinning, like Fireball stated, people still would have no free will but with an unclean spirit that doesn't accept that sinning is not meant to happen as us being a part of God.

Probably about the same. Adam and Eve were sinners just like their offspring.

It's not your place to judge God. He loves you, but you are on the path to hell.
