Was the Tree of the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL a curse or a blessing?

    a blessing -- a gift from God that permitted humanity to eventually embark on a meaningful existence which, as directed by God, is to strive to reach our potentiality as being "very good" in how we treat each other in this life.

    Absent this blessing, our lives would certainly be simply and easy, but would lack meaning. It would have left humanity in a state of being similar to well-kept pets.

    if I put a dynamite trigger in the middle of a garden and the dynamite was connected to everybody else in civilisation, how would you describe that? it's the same deal
