If God never changes His mind, then why did He feel regret for even creating man (before He flooded the Earth)?

Oft-quoted verse. No where in the scriptures does it say that God could not change his mind. If he could not, then wouldn't that be a limitation to his abilities? Many times in the old testament God appears to have feelings - why should he not do so before the flood? God gave man free will and then stands back to see how man reacts. Perhaps he was disappointed in the results.

The god of the OT change right into a poor and jealous god who would f- you up in case you crossed him. His personality kept replacing, though, fairly after the Babylon Captivity at the same time as different gods were banned (they were welcome up till then) and the Hebrews stopped declaring any call for him (Elohim, Yahweh, Jehovah) calling him quite Adonai - Lord. I under no circumstances understood how he loved introduction yet then destroyed it. do not ignore, though, that a minimum of three 'faculties' wrote the OT, and the flood change into already in the memories from Mesopotamia, inclusive of Gilgamesh, so someone would have felt obliged to comprise it later.. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

its not that Jesus repented or had "sorrow" or (regret) for creating men, it was foreseen that He would have some regret even before man was made.

and yes God does change his mind, but there are circumstances requireing faith and repentance that qualifies God to choose to change his mind. the Lord himself says he will change his mind if man turns from their wicked ways.

Jer. 18: 8, 10

8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

the term God never "changes" has been revealed to mean that his resurrected body does not change.

Try to imagine events happening with no time, literally, I assume you can't, but God does not dwell(?) within time

My personal theory is that God perceives the universe in it's entirety, all past, all present, all future, and when he created the universe, he altered it in minute ways that are his influences.(he can see all possible realities, so creates the universe accordingly)

Obviously Jesus and some other things don't figure into this, and it probably didn't happen this way, but I like it.
