How much do things cost in Chinese markets?
I'm travelling to China later this year and am wanting to know how much things cost in Chinese markets
I'll be visiting Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong which I have been told are the 3 big shopping areas for tourists in China
Things such as -
Northface Jackets
Converse Chuck Taylors
Rayban Sunglasses
NBA singlets
Snapbacks
Dre Beats Headphones
Designer Handbags and Bags
And anything else which tourists typically buy in Chinese markets
Note - They do not need to be authentic
I would just like to know the cheapest prices/average prices for these items in Chinese Yuan
Thanks

Northface Jackets: 200 yuan
Converse Chuck Taylors: 100 yuan
Rayban Sunglasses: 100 yuan
NBA singlets

Designer Handbags and Bags: leather and VERY close to real: 1000 yuan, non leather: 600 yuan. look very fake just a pure copy: 100 to 200 yuan. it also varies by brand.
all above is for fake items. those i don't know what they are i didn't give u price.
do NOT follow people on the streets who just show you a LV or Chanel Gucci catalog!! you won't know how many miles you have to walk with them, which dark alley they lead you to, how much they rob you in the end... very dangerous...
do NOT follow people who have a tape measure and want to make you a Hugo Boss suit for cheap...for the same reason.
other than those, bon voyage!!

I can't help but wonder if the evidence is good enough for PCGS to slab the coin with its provenance. Maybe it would depend on who submitted it.

Most of the items that you mention are made in the Gruangzhou area. This is a wide are the size of Pennsylvania in southern China. Hong Kong sits on the border of this region, and the city of Shenzhen is the mainland Chinese version of Hong Kong. (Actually the two cities will be merged together in about 20 years).
I live in Shenzhen, and I can say most authoritatively that the best place to purchase the goods is not in a tourist filled metropolis such as Beijing, Hong Kong, or Shanghai. They are big cities with a large foreign population. You might feel a little comfortable there, but the bargains may not be exactly what you are looking for.
For a size comparison, Hong Kong has 8 million people, and right across the river is Shenzhen with 12 million people. Small it is not!
For many products such as electronics, "real" and genuine designer products, go to Hong Kong. You will get a decent value. In fact many mainland Chinese go to Hong Kong to save money for exactly these reasons.
For fashion, from around the world (!), whether real or fake (mostly fake), and at good prices, go to Shenzhen. You need to go to DONGMEN. This is a maze of stores, malls, shops that meander up and down through out the LAOJIE region of Shenzhen. You can spend weeks there, and never visit all the stores. They have everything from Italian jackets, to French shoes, to Brazilian belts, to Africian traditional clothing, to Arabian headgear. It is the place to go.
To get there;
Go to Hong Kong. Get a visa to the PRC.
Take the subway to the LUOHU station.
Get out, and you will go through the customs area.
Then board the Shenzhen subway. It's right there...
Take it (two stations away) to LAOJIE station.
Go to exit "C". You will be in the heart of DONGMEN.
Good luck.

Almost always, the nation applying tariffs is the one to be hurt. It can be no different than the country that starts a warfare, most likely loses it. The chinese language have a variety of fiscal leverage at present. This mixed with an inexperienced president who's a awful chess player, and an awfully quick sighted planner, makes me suppose that 0bama has stepped on his own genitalia. 0bama has climbed in mattress with equipped labor on this limitation, one other brief sighted process that makes him seem tremendously brief sighted. Americans can gain knowledge of which of the tire makers have the chinese language make their tires. For individuals who avoid these manufacturers, may just or may not get monetary savings, because the others will raise their costs for the additional gains they can enjoy by staying instep with folks that suffer tariffs. I'm wondering, will 0bama maintain their ft to the fire in retaining cut down costs, or will he capitulate like he so more often than not does ?
