How to text a cell phone with unlimited texts from my computer?

I tried the whole msn messenger thing and it didn't work. Are there any websites?

    I'm sure there are many programs that will work, but I found that Google Voice works well. They give you a phone number that you can use from your cell, or computer. I forgot my cell phone one day and used my Google Voice number on my laptop to text friends.

    using gmail.you have to enable the feature though to make it work.
