How can something be created from nothing?

Like smile? The beauty of smile makes another person smile. Some sort of resonance? Are there any more examples?

Thank you :)

Update:

Difficult to explain... If you cherish perspective that positive emotions are in existence and negative aren't (Placebo) then it can "come from nothing"

@Babby on Jesus Toast: I don't...

@Lefty: Maybe so... It does explain a lot, like how can person be happy if (something).

Update 2:

Hell Kitty, true :)

Lefty, I do wonder... Is there dual of love? Of connection, existence?

Katura, post nebula feb ;)

Erat tellus, nunc anima. Jesum me sanum fecit: If god created universe out of herself then religion is panentheistic. My question isn't about universe and it isn't about Jesus. Possible it is, I don't expect you to believe anything. Read question :(

Huh? Casimir effect? Might be...

Unknown. But it is important to clarify your question... the proposition becomes...

How can everything be created from nothing?

Well... if nothing existed, it would be all there is, and that would be everything.

    Everything and nothing are equivalent.

...If I follow correctly about happiness, I would point to revelations of Zen Buddhism that any dualistic perception is an illusion, and must be realized as a duality to avoid delusion.

This is more commonly said as, "Every cloud has a silver lining". Find the good in the bad, and be aware of the bad in the good.

    From nothing, nothing comes.

Even resonance has a cause, that cause is something - not nothing.

Nothing - a complete absence of characteristics, attributes and potentiality; universal negation.

    or

As Plato defined it: "Nothing is that which rocks dream about."

God created the universe out of nothing. I think it takes more faith to believe that nothing became something with nothing to instigate it.

Do you really expect me to believe that this incredibly balanced world came out of an explosion, and that we are products of billions of years of genetic mutations? Mutations tend to cause HUGE problems, research it yourself. www.answersingenesis.com. Please check out this website and keep an open mind. God made you, he loves you, and he will save you if you repent and accept Jesus Christ as his son.

I have to stop writing now, evolution always tend of set me off.

    spontaneous generation is not possible

scripture states that all the things we see were made from things that we cannot see (atoms)

Hbr 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The act of smiling is created by your brain , it sends signals to the muscles of your face which contract in order for you to smile.

Ask the religious. They make that claim for the entire universe

    Your example is BS
