I have a Chinese Dwarf Hamster and I LOVE him so much. I carry him around the house and play with him a ton! Is it bad for his health and mood ?

Hamsters don't like to be handled as much as some other rodents. Dwarf Hamsters like it even less in general. I don't know about Chinese hamsters exactly but I can say that unless it has the personality to put up with that kind of thing I would not do that to often. And only if you know the hamster is awake and active. Learn what times of day your hamster is naturally active and handle your hamster around that time. I would personally limit direct handling to no more then 30 minutes at a time. I don't think it can directly effect there health but he probably won't want to be handled to much. Now some hamsters like it more then others. If it squeaks or bites those are signs it's had enough. But it could give you other signs like trying really hard to run away from you or out of your hands.
But yes as long as your careful enough not to drop, or loose your hamster you can take it around the house with you a little.

He might get agitated and start biting you because he is annoyed. Just like people hamsters need space plus he needs to get to his food and isn't always gonna do the second you out him down
