Here is the Rose Garden speech by Obama on Benghazi, do you see the word terrorist or terrorism?

Statement by the President on the Attack in Benghazi:

"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America's commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.

I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.

On a personal note, Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States. Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. As Ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya's transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my Administration, and deeply saddened by this loss.

The brave Americans we lost represent the extraordinary service and sacrifices that our civilians make every day around the globe. As we stand united with their families, let us now redouble our own efforts to carry their work forward."

Do you see the word "terrorism" or "terrorists"? Obama lied in the debate and so did the moderator who works at CNN. Period, case closed.

Update:

Hey "Reality" I got the transcript from the White House site dated Sep 12:

This statement from the Rose Garden Speech OBVIOUSLY points to the (religious) video as the "attack" in question: "Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts. Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya." For 2 weeks, they blamed it on a spontaneous reaction to the video not a terrorist attack. Obama went on to include: " ... killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi." "The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack."

He never specifically said this was a terrorist attack but he did say it was about religion, which is what the video was about.

Update (12:09 am): Candy Crowley admits she got it wrong and that the President did not refer to Benghazi as a terror or terroist attack. She commented, "I think actually, you know, because right after that, I did turn to Romney and said you were totally correct but they spent two weeks telling us that this was about a tape and that there was this riot outside of the Benghazi consulate, which there wasn't. So he was right in the main, I just think that he picked the wrong word."

That isn't the full transcript of the speech. It was 5 minutes and 34 seconds long and you quoted only about 30 seconds. There's a video of the speech on the White House web site. At 4:18 in the video he said, "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation." Watch it for yourself. I didn't even have to look hard because I found it at your link!

Furthermore, he never explicitly said that it was known to be directly related to the anti-Islam video. The closest he came to that was when he said that it is not the United States' policy to denigrate other religions. He wisely avoided jumping to conclusions, as a President should when the attack is still under investigation.

  • "Obama said during the speech that “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation” — but at no point was it clear that he was using that term to describe the attack in Benghazi. He’d also spent the previous two paragraphs discussing the 9/11 attacks and the aftermath. “Acts of terror” could have just as easily been a reference to that. Or maybe it wasn’t a direct reference to anything, just a generic, reassuring line he’d added into a speech which did take place, after all, the day after the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks." AT NO point in his speech did he label or call the attack in Benghazi an "act of terror" "a terrorist attack". Simple Obama lied and Crowley covered for him. You know it's bad when Jon Stewart is calling Obama out! If the link doesn't work go to Jon Stewart's page and look for 'American Terror Story'.

Good Work! I'm glad there are still patriots out there that fact check and do not allow smooth talk and charismatic passive aggressive speeches fool and bewilder their mind. So many people will not even check to see the facts about this vital issue. As you saw many of the people in the audience stood and clapped for Obama, in spite of all the evidence pointing to that being a lie.

    Proceed Governor,..

    Treason in the White House.

    Wake up America..

God Bless you and all other Patriots out there who don't think the Constitution of the United States of America isn't just a alright document to go by.

    It's the American CREED!

The speech was planned an written long in advance to be about the 9/11 anniversary. His statements about terrorism were about that attack. The president told David Letterman a week later it was because of the video. Susan Rice U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. was on 5 different news shows claiming it was because of a protest gone wild. We now have testimony that there never was a protest. The questions is who in the administration decided to try to spin the attack as a protest against a you tube video. They even arrested the guy for making the video.

If you go to whitehouse.gov and read what the white house calls the "transcript" he does NOT say "no act of terror" because the "transcript" is not an accurate transcribing of his actual words at the podium. He is much more lengthy in his actual remarks than the official "transcript" purports. He adds many other phrases and statements at the podium including "no act of terror will ever shake the resolve".

I don't know why the link at whitehouse.gov called it a "transcript" when is not an accurate record of his actual words. The White House transcribing staff should update it.

The president did not specifically call it a terrorist attack. This is of course a technicality we could get wrapped up in. The truth of the matter is simple, the president and his administration attempted to downplay a terrorist attack as a spontaneous reaction to a YouTube video. This story created by our government was delivered for about two weeks before the truth came out. Had the truth not come out the government would still be feeding us a false story.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

Add that paragraph to that transcript.... Why is it being purposefully omitted...

look, you may communicate relating to the certainty for as long as you like. people who think of not something undesirable could ever ensue below any President's watch should not be happy. they % instant outcomes and don't care approximately changing intelligence counsel. I even have even heard a number of them declare that the entire video venture during the middle East replaced right into a lie because of the fact their media is government controlled and that they might by no skill have considered it in the 1st place. and a few of them are even tech savvy and could have techniques sturdy adequate to comprehend that the completed Arab Spring replaced right into a effect of Twitter and you tube. the element is that no remember what Obama mentioned or whilst he mentioned it, in accordance to them this is his fault, which makes them inaccessible to reason.

He did not believe it was terrorism, it is an easy statement to make about the situation. Colorado was stated as an "act of terror" also but it was not terrorism. Both sides can spin it anyway they can. Truth is to now blame Clinton for the poor decisions by this administration was a joke.
