Can you deny people points when they give lousy answers on here?
I'm not talking about clicking No Best Answer. NBA still gives the responder points for answering the question. It ONLY ensures they don't get the extra ten points. Yet, they still get points for answering at all.

Lousy answers aren't necessarily violations however they can be violations of the question and answer format or cheating, if so they should be reported.

If it's a non-answer - no attempt to answer the question asked - you can report it as "Violating Q&A format: non-answer".
It's a bit of a grey area. Stupid but good-faith answers are not violations.
Opinion varies on whether obvious joke/hoax answers are reportable. But I generally report them as "non-answer / category trolling - no good-faith attempt to answer question asked".
