Could low level carbon monoxide poisoning effect your blood test or more specificly your PSA?

My PSA level radically jumped over the course of a year. Since it has gone down, then up. During the same time and up until about 4 weeks ago I learned that my chimney was plugged and probably had been for a few years. The gas company tested and found strong levels of carbon monoxide in the basement and though i didn't spend a lot of time there more than likely it was making it's way into the first floor where I spend all of my time while i'm home. Since the problem has been resolved I am beginning to need less sleep and my overall well being has improved. I have another blood test in a month and was just wondering if this could have effected my PSA test.

I don't see how it could.

Could be lab error, could be you hit the mark where it starts rising naturally due to aging, could be something more serious.

The PSA test is not the end all, be all - it is only one test of several that can and that are used.

    So don't start panicking yet.

You can learn more about it here - I thought this was really well written.
